Catherine Zeta-Jone’s no make-up selfie confirms what we all knew

For many different reasons, Catherine Zeta-Jones is immensely well-liked. Her acting career has been amazing and remarkably long-lasting. At the age of 53, she has chosen to share some information.

Many moviegoers might be surprised to find that Catherine Zeta-Jones was born and raised in Wales, England. She started dancing at a young age and quickly discovered that she enjoyed compliments.

While Catherine’s mother recognized her beauty right away, she found it difficult to perceive herself through her mother’s eyes.

Zeta-Jones always cites her mother when she talks about how she would often advise her to “make the best of [herself]” because she did not feel beautiful, and that would give her a sense of confidence that she still maintains today.

As she grew older, she came to admire the fortitude of women who allowed themselves to be subject to that kind of criticism. When she was younger, she did not understand how ladies could participate pageants knowing they would be harshly evaluated.

She herself had a head start in her professional life. She left her Welsh school at the age of 15, moving to London to begin her acting career. She received her first important part just two years later.

She was cast in the West End production of the musical “42nd Street” in London. She was able to take the stage and steal the show because the lead and their backup both had to cancel.

That marked the start of her successful career, which propelled her to Hollywood. She met Michael Douglas, her true love, while working in Hollywood. But it wasn’t love at first sight when they initially met.

She first had no interest in Douglas. Douglas, though, was intrigued and requested that his PR set up a meeting with Zeta-Jones. They consented to get together for drinks. Douglas assured Zeta-Jones that he would one day be the father of her children after having a few drinks with her.

She was less than amused and said to him,“You know I’ve heard a lot about you, and I’ve seen a lot about you, and I think it’s time that I say ‘Goodnight.’”

The following day, Douglas apologized and brought flowers to the attractive actress because he thought he had ruined his chance. Despite their different ages and hectic work schedules, the pair was able to make it work since his apology convinced her to give him another chance.

Douglas was able to honor his promise and have kids with Zeta-Jones. In addition to getting married in 2000, the couple also had a kid that year. Even though the wedding was only supposed to run until nightfall, the celebrations went on until six in the morning the next day.

Their daughter Carys was born three years later. Their small family was now complete. One thing is certain for the couple: they didn’t want to bring up their kids in Hollywood.

They made the decision to go to Bermuda and spent 12 years there raising their kids. The fact that Douglas’ mother is from Bermuda may have motivated them to return.

Zeta-Jones does not conceal the fact that she is 53 years old. She is not concerned about reversing the effects of aging and is content to display all of her laugh lines and crow’s feet.

She said, “I have my insecurities like every other woman, but as I’ve got older, I’ve got much more confident about the way I look.”

The actress has grown more and more at ease with her appearance over time. She doesn’t mind when others criticize the way she looks, but she also won’t allow them treat her like a doormat.

She is content with her life, she said, “My dreams have come true, and everything else now is a bonus for me.”

Her Instagram postings frequently receive negative remarks about her appearance and age, but she ignores them and continues to live her life as she pleases!

The actress enjoys staying in shape but is perfectly happy to show her true self to the camera. She mentioned that she had a hula hoop, a treadmill, and an elliptical that she uses to work out various muscle regions.

But she also enjoys eating chocolate, particularly English Cadbury chocolate. She favors healthy meals for herself, yet she will occasionally indulge herself to something sweet.
