Little Johnny Teaches The Teacher A Lesson In Simple Math

Math is something that many of us have struggled with for the majority of our lives.

Even if we like the subject, we may still have a difficult time when things change or when we have to deal with a problem that doesn’t quite seem as logical as it should be.

There are even going to be times when the teacher is not giving us the proper information. It can be difficult to correct them or even to let them know that they were wrong but when we have to do so, it’s important to do so right away.

That is what we have in the following joke. Little Johnny was being asked a question by his math teacher and the answer may seem simple, but he realized there was more to it than what meets the eye.

The teacher asked little Johnny a question…

Teacher: If I gave you 2 cats, and another 2 cats, and another 2 cats, how many cats would you have?

Little Johnny: Seven!

Teacher: No, listen carefully. If I gave you 2 cats, and another 2 cats, and another 2 cats, how many cats would you have?

Little Johnny: Seven!

Teacher: Let me put it to you differently. If I gave you two apples, and another two apples, and another two, how many would you have?

Little Johnny: Six.

Teacher: Good. Now if I gave you two cats, and another two cats, and another two, how many would you have?

Little Johnny: Seven!

Teacher: Johnny, where in the heck do you get seven from?!

Little Johnny: Because I’ve already got a freaking cat!
