A woman bought the most dilapidated house on the street, which was about to be demolished: after the repair, all the neighbors want to live there

Mother of three Hanna Janickiewicz from Merseyside, England, purchased the stunning Victorian mansion in 2013.

But, the house’s former glory has diminished: on the outside, it is cracked and in ruins, and it is best not to enter. But, while the 41-year-old loved the renovation, she knew the house would take a lot of effort and money, so she put the project on the shelf. In 2019, Hanna decided to seriously consider it. The villa was so bad that it would have been easier to demolish, but the wife wanted to renovate it.

This included replacing all the plumbing, reinstalling floors, replacing windows and even rearranging some walls, and it took the team over six months to refinish the exterior masonry. Hanna had to do a lot of work, but she was constantly changing houses and thinking about design.

“Honestly, it was the worst house on the street. And I wanted to create a bright, open space that could be put to good use. I liked the original look of the house, I tried to keep its spirit and its main characteristics,” reveals Hannah. Thanks to the renovation, Hanna was able to transform her house into a city gem. The cost of the mansion has increased by $216,000, but the mother of three doesn’t think she’ll sell it.
