Never-before-seen pictures of Meghan Markle give new insight into her childhood

The first season of Harry and Meghan Markle’s Netflix show debuted in December. The six-part documentary focuses on their relationship, including how they first met, how they got married, and the controversies that ultimately led to their permanent exile from the royal life.

Although Buckingham Palace chose not to comment on the series, they undoubtedly did not want any content that would jeopardize them to be broadcast. As for Meghan, she has a long history in the entertainment industry. Prior to becoming a royal family member, she worked in show business. But as we can all see today, things didn’t work out well.

The royal family didn’t want any of the content to air, and the same is true of the infamous Orpah Winfrey interview, the Netflix series, and Harry’s frank autobiography, Spare, which was published in early January. Sadly, that also contained some previously unseen images of Meghan Markle.

First, let’s examine Meghan Markle’s journey to this point. On August 4, 1981, she was born in Los Angeles, California. She was introduced to the entertainment industry at a young age thanks to her father, lighting director and Emmy winner Thomas Markle. Meghan frequently got to accompany her father on set.

She went to Los Angeles’s Immaculate Heart High School, which was exclusively for girls. “Every day after school for 10 years, I was on the set of Married, with Children, which is a really funny and perverse place for a little girl in a Catholic school uniform to grow up,” she tells.

“There were a lot of times my dad would say, ‘Meg, why don’t you go and help with the craft services room over there? This is just a little off-color for your 11-year-old eyes.’”

Meghan had a tremendous desire to make the world a better place even as a little child. She became offended when she saw a dishwashing soap commercial targeted exclusively at women when she was 11 years old.

“I don’t think it’s right for kids to grow up thinking these things, that just Mom does everything,” she said.

Her father encouraged her desire to make a difference and helped her write to well-known figures like Hillary Clinton in the hopes that they could be of assistance. The soap company’s tagline was “Women All Over America” until a few days later when it was altered to “People All Over America.”

At Northwestern University, Meghan Markle studied in communication because she was very interested in the entertainment business. She says that although she has always wanted to be an actor, she “hated the idea of being this cliché girl from LA who decides to be an actress.”

She then moved to Illinois to pursue dual degrees in theater and international relations at the renowned Evanston school. After her internship at the US Embassy in Argentina, Markle thought she would pursue a career in politics. Her main focus has always been the theater, despite the fact that her first job in the entertainment field wasn’t all that terrific.

While she was a student, Markle also went on auditions for television roles, but her first appearance was as a briefcase lady on the game program Deal or No Deal.

“I was the ill-fated number 26, which for some reason no one would ever choose,” Meghan Markle explained. I would end up standing up there forever in these terribly uncomfortable and inexpensive five-inch heels just waiting for someone to pick my number so I could go and sit down.”

She started performing soon after, landing several supporting parts in films including Get Him to the Greek and Remember Me as well as on the television series General Hospital. But all changed in 2011 when she was cast as paralegal Rachel Zane on USA’s hit series Suits.

Up until 2018, Meghan played the role of Rachel Zane in Suits. When she met and wed Prince Harry in that year, her life once more underwent a permanent change. But as we all know, Meghan had already been married.

Meghan first met Trevor Engelson while she was just beginning her great acting career. He was born on October 23, 1976, in Great Neck, Long Island, New York, and went to the School of Communications at the University of Southern California, according to IMDB.

Engelson entered the movie industry as a production assistant and worked his way up to become a producer. He has contributed to numerous projects, including the Robert Pattinson-starring movie Remember Me from 2006. Early in her acting career, his then-girlfriend Meghan Markle made a cameo appearance in his film.

So how did Meghan Markle and Trevor meet? In 2004, they first came into contact. Before getting married in September 2011, the pair dated for around seven years. Their three-day wedding ceremony took held at the Jamaica Inn in Ocho Rios, Jamaica.

Around 100 guests were invited to the couple’s gatherings, which included breakfasts, beach drinking contests, and even a wheelbarrow race. The ceremony just took fifteen minutes.

As previously noted, Meghan served as a model for a briefcase on the game program Deal or No Deal. But according to the book Meghan: A Hollywood Princess by author Andrew Morton, Trevor never made the effort to stop by Meghan’s set.

Morton claimed that Engelson’s failure to pay her a visit, in contrast to other husbands or friends of the models, was “unusual.” He apparently missed out on traveling with Meghan during her free time since he was preoccupied with his business as a producer.

“They were driven individuals, Trevor as busy, if not more so than his girlfriend,” royal biographer Andrew Morton wrote in Meghan: A Hollywood Princess. It was also noticeable that unlike the boyfriends and husbands of her Deal or No Deal sisters, Trevor never visited Meghan on set.

“It was so unusual that his absence was commented on by the other girls. However, there were plenty of other celebrities, mainly sports stars, who dropped by, some clearly trying to get up close and personal with the girls,” he added.

She made her screen debut in the 2011 television series Suits, the same year Meghan Markle and Trevor were married. It was an immediate hit, and soon after that she went to Toronto because it was where the show was primarily filmed.

The five-hour travel required to see each other became a challenge for married life after Meghan accepted the role only months before she married Trevor. Through video talks, they stayed in touch, but that didn’t make the difficult situation any easier.

“Whether she wanted to admit it to herself or not, Meghan Markle who once said she couldn’t imagine life without Trevor by her side, was now building a new world for herself,” Andrew Morton wrote in Meghan: A Hollywood Princess.

Up to 2018, Markle appeared in more than 100 episodes of Suits. However, she and Trevor Engelson had separated by 2013. At the time, the couple gave the reason as “irreconcilable differences”.

According to reports, Trevor was heartbroken because Meghan had hurt him. And things didn’t get any better as the former Duchess startled her ex-husband by mailing him the wedding and engagement rings.

While Meghan had been married once before, it hadn’t gotten too much attention as she joined the royal family when marrying Harry. However, when looking back at royal history, divorces do not give you the best reputation with the family.

Although they have occurred, royal family divorces are not frequent. There have been about ten divorces in recorded history, with Prince Andrew’s divorce from Sarah Ferguson being one of the most notorious.

Of course, one of the most startling events in history was when the late Princess Diana and then-Prince Charles got divorced. In fact, in never-before-seen letters from the Princess to a few friends in early February, it was revealed specifics about how Diana felt about the divorce. It was undoubtedly not attractive.

The royal family has been a tradition for many years. The monarchy has evolved into a modern era even though some customs are still followed in some instances. Despite the fact that some conventions are no longer relevant, some ideas that some might consider to be very antiquated are still very much in force.

For instance, according to History, it was unheard of inside the royal sphere for generations to marry someone who had been through a divorce. And before anyone in the line of succession was married, the late Queen Elizabeth II was always consulted.

“Historically, the Church of England’s position was that divorce was okay, but remarriage was not,” Arianne Chernock, an associate professor of history at Boston University whose research focuses on gender and the British monarchy, said.

The Church of England did not acknowledge the marriages of any divorcees whose ex-spouse was still living until 2022. However, Buckingham Palace preferred not to mention or draw attention to the fact that Meghan Markle had been married once before she wedded Harry.

With royal traditions also comes responsibility towards the crown, which the royal family is always presumed to follow. That, of course, includes not leaving the royal duties behind, just as Harry and Meghan did some years ago.

A new royal period resulted from their separation from royal life. When examining various kingdoms in Europe, it seemed as though things were always undergoing change. For instance, the Queen of Denmark recently stripped her grandchildren of their royal titles because she believed they should have the right to determine their own future.

Moreover, Prince William and Kate Middleton are also modernizing the royal life for their children, raising them in a normal-as-can-be setting at home.

But even though Harry and Meghan left the monarchy behind to live a more “free life” in the US, the rest of the family wasn’t happy. And as they did the Oprah interview, which in December of last year was followed up with their own Netflix documentary series and weeks later with Harry’s explosive te–al book, Charles, William, Kate, and the rest are not happy.

As one might expect, if the Firm had the last say, the tales heard and images released would never be made public. Archie and Lilibet made multiple appearances in the Netflix docuseries despite Harry and Meghan being exceedingly careful about sharing photos of their kids.

Moreover, the couple shared many pictures from their youth, especially Meghan, which had never been seen before.

Harry and Meghan made it plain in the teaser for the six-episode Netflix series that they weren’t backing down from sharing their perspective of the events and how living a royal life had affected and damaged them.In the video, there were numerous images of a young Harry and Meghan that flashed past.

It featured various images of Meghan when she was very little, including a sweet picture of the two of them with Doria Ragland. Another shows the Duchess playing while sporting a yellow jumper.

In the third, Meghan may be seen sporting a little makeup when she was around nine or ten years old.

Additionally, the video featured a school photo of Meghan wearing a white polo-neck t-shirt and flashing her smile.

In another, she is considerably older and sporting her school uniform, which includes a blue collared top. She also had thick, dark curls that cascaded down her shoulders there as opposed to now.
