Mom-To-Be Makes A Strange Request From Shower Guests

Many mothers-to-be look forward to the time when they can get together with family and friends and enjoy a baby shower.

They know they are going to get a lot of gifts that will be practical and beneficial, but they also get to enjoy the company of those they love.

There are times when the mother involved in the baby shower is able to make requests of things that could be given to her as a gift.

This includes some who are very creative, such as one mother who asked for a special gift that took some people by surprise.

This mother wanted something instead of having her friends throw her a baby shower. She knew that it would be a lot of work, so she wanted them to focus their attention on deep cleaning her house instead.

This was something that wasn’t hidden from sight. In fact, she posted it on TikTok and it went viral. The video was of her ‘nesting party’ and she said that it was amazing.

@nialui21 Replying to @Haley Sheppard Every pregnant mom needs a nesting party. If you’re pregnant and don’t want a baby shower, do this. If you have a pregnant friend, do this for them! #nestingparty #nestingmom #nestingmode #pregnantmom #pregnancy #babyshower #nestingmama #thirdtrimester #ittakesavillage #myvillage @Bri Welcker ♬ original sound – Nia Lui

According to the owner of the video, her friend, Bree, was sent a list of things she wanted done. She wanted to have things done before the baby arrived, and each person was given a card to take a section of the home.

Women were busy getting together at her home and each of them started working with a section of the house. They were cleaning the window sills, pantry, and many other areas.

There weren’t any games or decorations at the nesting party and no presents were brought. The guests knew ahead of time that they should bring brooms and dusters and the house would be cleaned from top to bottom.

She said: “I kind of took a more supervised role, kind of telling people where I wanted things and then we took a dinner break.”

Aside from all of the hard work that took place, they ate some soup and sourdough bread, had some treats, and enjoyed talking about the soon-to-come arrival. They then got back to work so everything was clean and organized.

Although presents were not brought, they did bring frozen dinners over so she could stock up in case she was going through postpartum depression and couldn’t do the shopping on her own.

In the end, she said that it was a lot of fun and she recommends having a nesting party if a baby is in your future. The commenters seemed very positive about the idea and appreciated the suggestion.
